summary: To enable 3D hardware acceleration in Autodesk Inventor when running in a
virtualized environment, edit the file `C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2022\Configuration\hardwarelibrarydm.xml`
and increase the software graphics decoding limit from 10 to 50 sets. This adjustment
overrides the default setting that restricts hardware acceleration.

If Inventor refused to run 3D accelerated hardware when virtualized, there is a file in:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2022\Configuration\hardwarelibrarydm.xml
The features are numbers in there-- limit of 10 sets software graphics decoding only.
Change them to 50 and it will allow hardware acceleration.
