2026-04-05T05:56:10+00:00 | To enable 3D hardware acceleration in Autodesk Inventor when running in a virtualized environment, edit the file `C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2022\Configuration\hardwarelibrarydm.xml` and increase the software graphics decoding limit from 10 to 50 sets. This adjustment overrides the default setting that restricts hardware acceleration. | Inventor Virtualization |
If Inventor refused to run 3D accelerated hardware when virtualized, there is a file in:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2022\Configuration\hardwarelibrarydm.xml
The features are numbers in there-- limit of 10 sets software graphics decoding only.
Change them to 50 and it will allow hardware acceleration.
